Our Mission

Trinity Lutheran High School, an educational mission of Trinity Lutheran Church, provides academic excellence in a Christian environment to educate students

for a life of service to church and community.

Our Purpose:

1. To serve the various communities north of the Twin Cities through providing secondary education grounded in the liberal arts and designed to prepare

students for a college or university compatible with their interests and for all sorts of vocations in service to God both in the church and in the broader society.

2. To provide academic excellence in a Christian environment with an emphasis on developing critical thinking and learning skills through the curriculum.

3. To uplift Christian values as they are revealed in the Word of God, by teaching Christian ethics and morally responsible behavior in a disciplined learning

environment.

4. To cultivate in students love for God and His Word, so that they may view life and vocation as the opportunity to serve God in His Church and in His world.

5. To prepare students with an education that will give them a well-rounded intellectual and cultural foundation for life as educated citizens of their community.

6. To prepare college-bound students for a college or university that will be compatible with their personal, academic, and vocational goals.

7. To instill in students understanding and respect for the Lutheran confession of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and love for traditional Lutheran worship and active

participation in congregational life.

Our Values:

1. We believe that excellence in education begins and ends with the Word of God at the center of all learning, for the human mind and spirit are fulfilled only

when all things are done to the service and glory of God.

2. We believe that, with a challenging curriculum and a disciplined environment, high school students can achieve much greater intellectual development and

academic advancement than is generally acknowledged. The environment and close relationships among teachers and students of Trinity are effective for

developing in students both academic excellence and a sense of purpose for the vocations of life.

3. We believe that for the fullest development of reading and writing, the study of foreign languages is an essential part of the high school curriculum for all

students.

4. We believe that the instruction in mathematics and the sciences must be accompanied by an education in literature, music, and the arts in order for the human

mind and spirit to be fully developed for joyful service to God in the church and the world.

5. We believe that development of the human body through physical education and competitive athletics is important for students of all levels of natural athletic

ability.
