What
about high school? Many Christian families who send their
children to Lutheran or other Christian schools for their preschool
through eighth-grade education ask that question. It is a question that
has come up at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Saint Francis for
many years. Now, after years of asking that question and laying the
groundwork for an answer, we are pleased to announce that Trinity
Lutheran High School opened in September 2006. We are now accepting
enrollments in all four grades of high school (9-12) for the 2008-2009
school year.
Vital Years
for Laying a Foundation for Life
Trinity
Lutheran High School (TLHS) is committed to offering a better choice for
the high school education of Christian youth in our community. The high
school years are a time in which our young people are setting the course
for the rest of their lives. The foundation is laid in high school for
their further education in college or for a life of service in the
trades. The development of Christian character reaches a critical stage
in these adolescent years. Every day, high school youth make decisions
that will affect the rest of their lives: to focus on school and healthy
extra-curricular activities or to waste time and develop patterns of
laziness; to obey the laws of our community or to start carousing and
using alcohol or illegal drugs; to be obedient to God’s plan for life or
to become sexually involved prior to the sacred life-long commitment of
marriage. Our sons and daughters need an educational environment that
will help them to develop a disciplined lifestyle, to make wise
decisions, and to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. |
